EV Home Charger Privacy Policy
Short and in plain English, because that is how we would want to read it.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, the photos of your switchboard and property that you attach or text, and anything you write in the message. If you arrive from an advert, we also record the search term and campaign that brought you here so we know which adverts are worth running.
Why we collect it
To price and carry out your EV charger installation, to issue your Certificate of Compliance, which must carry the property address and owner's name, and to contact you about the job. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list.
Who handles it
The quote form is processed by FormSubmit, which delivers your message and photos to our email. Our email and files are stored with standard business cloud providers. The site may load Google's advertising tag to measure whether an enquiry or phone call came from one of our adverts; that tag sets cookies under Google's privacy policy. The map on the contact page is served by Google Maps.
How long we keep it
Quote enquiries that do not go ahead are deleted within twelve months. Records for completed installations are kept for seven years, because the Certificate of Compliance and the invoice are documents we are required to retain.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Email info@evhomecharger.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not happy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
